A hommage to Willem Labeij.
I met Willem sometime in 2008 or 2009 at a mutual friend's workshop. It turned into a friendship and during the last years of his life we discussed art, photography and whatever. Just before he died he gave me two pieces of his work. This is one of them: "Study of Shells" from 2006. Willem was an expressionist who is still remembered on Iceland where he lived and worked in the 1990ties.
